Terms of Service

This is a translation for reference. Only the Korean version has legal effect.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the second-hand trade brokerage service ("Service") provided by Mannam Market ("Company"), including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • Service: the web/mobile second-hand trade platform provided by Mannam Market
  • User: a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service
  • Listing: an item registered by a user for sale
  • Mannam Temperature: a numerical indicator of a user's trade reputation

Article 3 (Service scope)

The Company provides an online brokerage platform for second-hand trades between users. The Company is not a party to any trade and does not directly intervene in disputes.

Article 4 (Trade disputes)

The Company is not responsible for disputes arising from user-to-user trades (fraud, defects, broken promises, etc.). However, repeated bad actors are blocked through an automated sanction system (3-Strike rule) operated via the report system.

Article 5 (Scammer DB)

The scammer DB is operated based on user reports, and the Company does not guarantee the accuracy of registered information. Entries with 3+ independent reports are marked as "Verified".

Article 6 (Identity verification)

Identity verification is a supporting measure to enhance trade trust and reduce scam damage.

  • Korean users: phone-based identity verification is auto-validated via PortOne (KG INICIS integrated verification). Verification data is processed under PortOne's policy.
  • Vietnamese users: the user-uploaded CCCD photo and selfie are visually reviewed by Company operators. This is not the legal KYC of the Vietnamese government and cannot fully rule out forgery.
  • Submitted CCCD images and selfies are auto-deleted within 30 days after verification (Vietnam PDPL compliance). OCR result data is anonymized for operational audit.
  • Upon verification, +5°C is added to Mannam Temperature, and scam-DB reporting is unlocked. Unverified users may still list and trade, but may face trust display disadvantages.

Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)

  • False listings
  • Fraud or deception
  • Identity theft
  • Trade in illegal items
  • Spam or promotional content
  • False reports

Article 8 (Sanctions)

  • Warning: 1–2 reports
  • 7-day suspension: 3 cumulative reports
  • Permanent ban: 5 cumulative reports

Permanent bans may be appealed to administrators.

Article 9 (Account deletion)

Users may delete their account at any time via My Page → Settings → Account deletion. The Company processes data in accordance with Vietnam PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law) and GDPR principles as follows.

  • Immediate deletion: Profile image, push notification tokens (FCM), login tokens, block/favorite lists, and language preferences are permanently deleted at the moment of withdrawal.
  • 30-day grace: Nickname and contact information are automatically masked (e.g., "Deleted user_xxxxxx") and hard-deleted after a 30-day grace period. This blocks accidental recovery; re-registration with the same email creates a new account.
  • Anonymized retention: Scammer DB report history, blacklist verification records, and reviewer names on received reviews are retained under anonymous labels. This protects platform safety and other users; all personal identifiers are removed.
  • Re-registration: After the 30-day grace period ends, all identifying information is deleted, so re-registration with the same email or phone is permitted. However, Mannam temperature, trade history, and verification status are reset based on the new account.

Within 30 days after withdrawal, if you re-register with a new account, it will not be linked to the previous account information (Mannam temperature, trade history).

Article 10 (Customer support channels and SLA)

To limit operational resources and preserve dispute records, the Company operates only the following two official channels:

  • In-app AI chatbot: General inquiries about signup, listings, scam reports are answered immediately by the chatbot. Response SLA is within 5 minutes. Claude AI is trained on 18 FAQs and responds automatically in Korean, Vietnamese, and English.
  • Email: For issues the chatbot cannot resolve, complex disputes, or advertising inquiries, please send to support@mannammarket.com. Response SLA is within 48 business hours.
  • Unsupported channels: The Company does not provide support via KakaoTalk, Zalo, phone, social-media DMs, or other channels. Beware of impersonators contacting through unofficial channels.
  • Emergency fraud cases: Users residing in Vietnam should first report to local police or the Korean Consulate Hotline (+84-901-130-403); users in Korea should report to the Cyber Crime Unit. Mannam Market does not intervene directly in disputes; we only cooperate by providing evidence.

If the SLA is not met, complaints may be submitted through the same channel. Please report impersonation or phishing via unsupported channels through in-app reporting or registration in the scam database.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

The Company does not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of trades between users, and is not liable for damages arising from trades.

Article 12 (Eligibility and Protection of Minors)

Sign-up is available only to users aged 14 or older. Users under 14 may not register, and minors under 19 must use the service with the consent of a legal guardian. The Company confirms at sign-up that the user is 14 or older, and may suspend or delete an account without prior notice if the age is found to have been falsified.
